Week 1

Selamat Pagi (Good morning)

Welcome back to Term 2. This term I have tried to keep the activities for Indonesian fun and simple with a variety of games, songs and videos. The written activities I have chosen for Week 1 (for all year levels) will take two weeks to complete, so make a start on them this week and finish them off next week. Please keep any written Indonesian work together at home and bring it to school once we are all back here again. Please don't hesitate to email me with any questions at melinda.kartana@cewa.edu.au.

I am hoping some of you were able to get into Languages Online and have a look around it and try some activities last term. If you had trouble getting into it there are a few options. On an iPad the only way it will work is if you download the app. Which looks like the image below.

If you are using a laptop (Year 4 - 5) you have a link on your dashboard or click on this link Languages Online. On the laptops you will have to enable the Adobe Flash Player, there should be an icon of a jigsaw puzzle piece to click on which is in the browser bar on the right hand side. This will then take you to a small screen and you will need to allow flash to run.
With the Languages Online activities I have assumed PP - Year 3 and Year 6 will have an iPad and that Year 4 and Year 5 are using their laptops. If this is not the case try to find an activity that is close to the topic that I have allocated. Terima kasih - Thank you.

Extra activity (optional) - Year 3 and above
Indonesians are very good at arts and crafts. If you are needing an activity at home to keep yourself busy, try making a friendship bracelet.
Each length of wool will need to be about 100cm long and remember to keep your knots tight. View this clip below to see how to make friendship bracelets.

You can use wool that you may have at home.
Here is an example of the start of some friendship bracelets my son and I have been making.
